GWINN, Mich. (WLUC) - Temporary schedule changes for flights going out of Sawyer International Airport to Detroit are coming soon. Starting October 1st, flights from Delta and SkyWest to Detroit will be reduced down to one outgoing and one return flight.
Officials from Sawyer International said these changes come from high demand of current fleets at Sawyer.
“My understanding is they're pulling some planes out storage. They've got to go through maintenance. Their maintenance facility is in Minneapolis, so they want to get the flights back and forth through there,” Director of Operations Steve Schenden said.
A new schedule putting the additional flight to flight to Detroit back on the schedule will take effect in December.
