MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Despite the snow on the ground, some Northern Michigan University students are already looking ahead to this summer.
Northern’s Career Services hosted their 18th annual Summer Jobs Fair on Wednesday.
80 employers were set up in the University Center to interact with students. There were jobs ranging from summer camps to law enforcement to internships. These positions are available in a wide range of locations.
“There’s jobs all over. I talked to an employer in Minnesota. There's employers from Lower Michigan and from all around the U.P., from the Upper Lower, so all over,” said Katie Korpi, Assistant Director of Northern Michigan University Career Services.
There will be another career fair on March 21st, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the University Center. This will focus on more long-term careers and is open to the community.
