MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The Northern Michigan University Greco-Roman Wrestling Program is holding their annual superior international wrestling camp this week.
The camp gives amateur wrestlers a chance to work with other wrestlers from all over the world and improve their techniques and fundamentals.
About twenty wrestlers from Sweden are on hand for the week long camp.
In total about 80 athletes are at the Superior Dome for the camp.
"I'd say the biggest benefit is getting some international competition over here to wrestle with our guys,” said wrestler Austin Morrow. “And on top of that we get the best junior cadets in the nation all in the same room. That's going to breed great competition. You only get better, iron sharpens iron."
Wednesday there will be a competition between a team of U.S. wrestlers and Swedish wrestlers.
The competition is free and open to the public and will be held 7 pm at the Superior Dome.
