Mothers and families invited to community baby shower

MARQUETTE COUNTY, Mich (WLUC) - Coming up on April 28th is the community baby shower at the North Iron Church in Ishpeming for mothers who are pregnant and families with children up to six months old.

The community baby shower has been going on for over 20 years and is hosted by the organization, Community Action.

Barbie Dupras, Baby Shower Coordinator says, “There’s a need in the community. There’s a lot of young mom’s having babies who don’t have any support, and so they need one: to celebrate their baby and two: they need to know what’s out there, there’s so much.

The baby shower will have, baby furniture, diapers, food processors and more that will be given away.

Those who wish to attend can RSVP to Community Action of Alger and Marquette.
