SANDS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - Festivities at the 30th annual Marquette County Fair kicked off Thursday. At the fair is live music, carnival rides and plenty of food vendors.

Organizers say if you haven't been to the fair lately, you haven't been to the fair!
“We've been here for about 30 years, it started out as a field,” said Walt Maki, Marquette County Fair President. “Now, in the last two or three years, we've put several additions on. We've put in a brand new horse arena, we've got a new carnival this year, a lot of new things this year and we want people to come out and see them.”
The fairgrounds are located three miles south of the crossroads in Gwinn. A full schedule of events can be found on the Marquette County Fair website at www.marquettecountyfair.org/.
