Many Marquette residents without power Saturday morning, power later restored

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Many Marquette residents were without power Saturday morning.

At 6:34 a.m. Saturday, 1,594 Marquette Board of Light and Power customers lost power due to a field mounted piece of equipment malfunctioning.

Crews were immediately dispatched, patrolled the circuit, and began to restore power to customers in small groups at 8:30 a.m. This process allowed our technicians to safely and efficiently isolate and identify the problem and subsequently restore power to all affected customers.

Complete restoration occurred at approximately 10:15 a.m.
