ESCANABA, Mich. (WLUC) - The man involved in an incident at the El Patron restaurant in Escanaba last December was back in court today.
Alejandro Castillo entered the restaurant with a small club and plastic gun.
He said he was trying to get money that was owed him from being employed at the restaurant for two months without pay.
Castillo proceeded to break several small items in the restaurant before being forced out the back door where he was met by police.
Castillo pled guilty, but mentally ill, to possession of a dangerous weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon and destruction of personal property less than $200.
In exchange, charges of assault with intent to rob and attempted larceny were dropped.
Castillo is lodged in the delta county jail awaiting sentencing on June 26th.
