League of Women Voters' Observers Corps attending local government meetings

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The Observer Corps is a group that is part of the League of Women Voters of Delta County, Marquette unit. The job of the Observers is to attend public government meetings in the county to gather information for the League of Women Voters. That information is then shared with members and used to better inform voters come election season.

“The Observer Corps work will play a real central part as we prepare for the upcoming primary and general elections, and as we plan for our candidate forums as well as our voters guides,” said League of Women Voters Delta County, Marquette Unit Leader Darlene Allen. “Being aware and being informed is the first step to being actively involved.”
