Jury Trial date changed for Crystal Falls man accused of killing a horse

IRON COUNTY, Mich. (WLUC) - The jury trial for a Crystal Falls man accused of killing one horse and injuring another has been postponed.

19-year-old Luke Wool previously had a jury trial scheduled for March 13th after being declared competent to stand trial.

Luke Wool is charged with attempted murder, felony firearms, discharging a firearm in or at a building, and two counts of killing/torturing animals.

Back in March, the Iron County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of a shooting that injured a horse in Crystal Falls Township. Investigators said evidence tied Wool to the death of another horse in February.

Wool now has a pretrial conference set for March 5th and they will reschedule the jury trial at that time.
