Illinois man arrested on heroin, cocaine charges

DICKINSON COUNTY, Mich. (WLUC) - The Dickinson County Prosecuting Attorney, Lisa Richards, and the K.I.N.D. Drug Enforcement Team have arrested and charged a Frankfort, Illinois, man on several drug charges.

27-year-old Louis C. Jones was arrested on Nov. 12 and has been charged with two counts of delivery/manufacture of heroin, less than 50 grams; one count of delivery manufacture of cocaine, less than 50 grams; possession of cocaine; possession of marijuana; and habitual offender - fourth offense.

The K.I.N.D. Team, with the assistant of an informant, was able to make controlled buys from Jones.

Jones is being held on $75,000 cash/surety bond. He is being represented by Attorney Michael Scholke and is set to appear in 95-B District Court on Nov. 22 for a probable cause conference. His preliminary exam is scheduled for Nov. 29 at 9:30 a.m.
