DICKINSON COUNTY, Mich. (WLUC) - The Iron Mountain man who led Kingsford Public Safety and other agencies on a police chase last week was arraigned Thursday in Dickinson County District Court.

Christopher Holmberg, 25, is charged with fourth degree fleeing from police, operating a vehicle without a license, and habitual offender, fourth notice.

On July 13, around 9:13AM, Kingsford Public Safety officers attempted to stop a vehicle on Carpenter Ave. near Breen Ave. for a traffic violation.

Holmberg fled and a pursuit ensued. Officers pursued Holmberg's vehicle into Wisconsin. He traveled onto County N in Aurora then onto East Fischer Lake Pkwy. Holmberg lost control on East Fischer Lake Pkwy traveling into the ditch. The vehicle rolled over and landed back on its wheels.

Both occupants in the vehicle were uninjured.

A preliminary exam is scheduled for August 8th.

Kingsford Public Safety Department was assisted at the scene by Florence County Sheriff Department, Iron Mountain Police and K-9, Florence County Rescue Squad, and Aurora Volunteers Fire Department.
