ROCK, Mich. (WLUC) - If you're looking for a happy place, the Hall Farm in Rock is a good place to start your search.
With more than 18 acres of sunflowers in full bloom, the farm has been putting smiles on the faces of visitors for two years now. The family has been raising sunflowers for 8 years, but this is only the second year they have opened the farm to the public.
There are walking paths through the field and viewing platforms that allow you to get above the sea of yellow flowers.
Last year, the farm was one of the most popular destinations in the U.P. for the short time the flowers were in bloom and this year it's more of the same.
"Oh they love them. They're smiling and they're happy and nobody is mad and they just think they're beautiful and they are," said Teressa Hall of Hall Farms. "We have a line saying we plant flowers and harvest smiles. But, I'd say the flowers are at their prime right now so now is a good time to see them."
Teressa says the flowers will probably be looking good until the middle of next week.
