MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The Marquette Breakfast Rotary is teaming up with Marquette Senior High School for a new event called Rebounds for Rotary. They’re lining up local celebrities to play a charity basketball game against Marquette High School players. The group is hoping to pack the gym in Marquette and raise funds for the school’s athletics.
Breakfast Rotarians said it’s a perfect fit for their group.
“A lot of our causes and charities that we give to have a youth focus, so it just makes sense for us to partner with the school and help support the athletic department here. We support a lot of different clubs and organizations within the school, so this is just another element of that,” said Marquette Breakfast Rotarian Jennifer Huetter.
Rebounds for Rotary is being held April 19th in Marquette. Tickets are $10 and available at the door.
