Dairy Queen gives out free cones Monday

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Warmer temperatures ringing in the Spring season were made even sweeter Monday thanks to Dairy Queen.

Monday was DQ’s annual free cone day, benefiting Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. All day long, patrons could stop in or roll through the drive thru of any Dairy Queen and receive a free ice cream cone, or for $1 patrons could get a dipped cone, or one with sprinkles.

“You can go through the drive thru or come inside,” said Randy Keough, the General Manager of the Marquette Township Dairy Queen. “It's going on until close at 9 o'clock. You can come by and get a free cone at any time. It's 45 degrees out or going to be 45 today, so it's a great day to come and get some ice cream."

Donations made Monday at the Marquette Township Dairy Queen will go to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital of Milwaukee.
