Craft Bazaar and auction helps firemen

WETMORE, Mich. (WLUC) - Hundreds of people celebrated the 40th annual Tri-County Craft Bazaar Saturday in Wetmore.

There was a flea market and rummage sale of donated items from the community.
But the fun didn't stop there.
There were also beer and food tents along with homemade pies and goodies.
All proceeds went to the Tri-County Fire Department.

"We serve portions of three counties: Alger, Delta, and Schoolcraft Counties." said Chief Elect Kenneth Hanson. "We also serve seven townships out here. We're located halfway between Lake Superior and Lake Michigan."

The fire department covers 400 square miles and is located in the middle of Hiawatha National Forest.
This year's fundraiser raised nearly $20,000.
