MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - Adults took over the Upper Peninsula Children's Museum Thursday night. It was all for the annual Celebrity Art Auction fundraiser.
The auction brings together some of the community's most unexpected artists all to raise funds for the Children's Museum. Even some of our staff here at TV6 had some art up for auction. Museum staff say it's always a great night to get folks together for a good cause.
"When we tell them to make art, we are very liberal with our interpretation and it's amazing what people can make," said UPCM Director Nheena Weyer Ittner. "I never cease to be amazed and I will say again this year, as I say almost every year, I think this is going to be the best year ever."
The auction is the largest fundraiser for the Children's Museum. This was the 14th year for the event.
