Calumet Art Center welcomes new executive director

CALUMET, Mich. (WLUC) - The Calumet Art Center welcomes a new executive director. Art Center Founder and former director Ed Gray retired from the position. Finlandia University Graduate and former art teacher Paige Gwyn is the new executive director. She brings a love of teaching to her Wild 4 Art 2018 Summer Youth Art Immersion.

"I love teaching so I am glad to bring some of that here and be able to work with the kids. Making it more community-based is a big goal of ours, getting more artists in, more volunteers, and more board members, pretty much just more people and I think starting with the kids is a really good place to start," said Gwyn.

Wild 4 Art classes are Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon, and are open to ages nine and up. A link to more information about Calumet Art Center programs is available in the related links section of this article.
