K.I. SAWYER, Mich. (WLUC) - The Buffalo Sabres officially touched down in the Upper Peninsula at K.I. Sawyer International Airport Tuesday morning, in preparation for the Kraft Hockeyville USA preseason NHL game.
The team and staff quickly deplaned and hopped on two buses to head Marquette. They landed around 9:30 a.m., and drove straight from the airport to the autograph signing at Lakeview Arena which started at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
Unfortunately Buffalo won't be in the area for long. They plan to leave Marquette Tuesday night after the game, to head to Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario for their next preseason game on Wednesday, once again against the Hurricanes.
The Buffalo Sabres and Carolina Hurricanes face off Tuesday, October 4th at 7:00 p.m. at Lakeview Arena in Marquette. For those without tickets, the game will be broadcast live on NBCSN.
