BEECHWOOD, Mich. (WLUC) - The Beechwood Historical Society held a rummage and bake sale fundraiser Saturday.
Members of the historical society and community donated various products to sell including books, kitchen utensils, and other knick-knacks. All of the money goes directly to the historical society’s efforts to restore and maintain their historical school house and church. The school house is used as a community center and to display local art.
“We don't have any paid staff,” said Charlotte Bofinger, Beechwood Historical Society President. “We're a non-profit corporation, and everything we raise, our membership due or donations; that's how we exist.”
