ESCANABA, Mich. (WLUC) - Escanaba’s William Bonifas Arts Center is having their largest fundraiser of the year Saturday, but it’s taking place in a new venue. The Auction for the Arts will be moving to the Terrace Bay Hotel this year. The new location allows more room for displays and more space for games and entertainment.
There’s also silent and live auctions, featuring works of art, local products and a variety of experiences and adventure packages.
Doors for the event open at 6 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are available at the Bonifas Arts Center or at the auction event itself.
“It’s a great chance to meet artists, people who are actually making a living or learning to make a living as an artist. That's a really neat thing to do,” said Sue Roll, of the William Bonifas Arts Center. “It's a great chance to discuss each other’s taste in art. I always find that a fascinating community conversation and it's a good place to have a good time with friends.”
The event is sponsored, in part, by TV6. Mark Cowman is emceeing the event along with Escanaba’s Mark Ammel.
