ISHPEMING, Mich. (WLUC) - A number of Yoopers were spotted at the American Legion Post 114 for their holiday craft show Sunday.
Post 114 has held this craft show for more than 20 years, but this was one of their biggest turnouts. With 46 tables and more than 30 crafters, buyers could come and peruse all sorts of handcrafted gifts for themselves or someone on their Christmas lists. All of the money collected from the rented tables goes into the American Legion's general fund that helps support veterans and their families, and allows for the various events they put on during the year.
"I think the reason they keep coming back is because of the good atmosphere here and the kid-friendly and family-friendly environment that's here. And it goes towards a good cause - it's a great place to come here, see a bunch of veterans, thank them for their service and also in the meantime help support what they're doing," says Kaitlyn Nault, American Legion Post 114 Auxiliary President.
American Legion Post 114 tries to have four craft shows per year, and is hoping to have the next one this upcoming March.
