Northwoods Sporting Goods Burglary Suspect Federally Arraigned

MARQUETTE COUNTY, MI (WLUC) - A teen suspect in the Northwoods Sporting Goods burglary has been federally arraigned.

Juan Carlos Pereyra is charged with stealing a firearm from a licensed dealer and conspiracy to defraud the United States.

Pereyra appeared in Federal Court Thursday May 18th for his arraignment.

According to police Pereyra along with two other suspects left their dorm in the early morning hours of December 10 and went to Northwoods Sporting Goods and broke the front window. A display case containing handguns was then broken into and the men removed the guns from the store, while one suspect acted as a lookout.

Pereyra and Santiago have pretrial conferences June 19th.
