Are you a fan of estate sales and auctions? Drop by the Peter White Public Library to take advantage of our Library Treasure Sale and Silent Auction taking place this September.

The Peter White Public Library has been cleaning closets, and we will be offering items for sale. These are items which have been collecting dust in our closets, under desks and hidden away in various other nooks and crannies. If you like a good treasure hunt, you’ll want to be sure you visit the library!

Treasure Sale
The Library Treasure Sale will take place in the Business Reference Room on the upper floor of the library. This sale will be held Thursday, September 7 from 10am – 5pm; Friday, September 8 from 10am – 6pm; and Saturday, September 9 from 10am – 1pm. Don’t let the dust bunnies fool you. There are many collectibles included in this sale: china sets, a 24-carat gold-plated kazoo, statues, vases, and more!

Silent Auction
Through the month of September, the Peter White Public Library will display art, furniture, and other objects which will be sold as part of a fundraising silent auction. Visit the Huron Mountain Club Gallery on the main floor of the library to view this exhibit. Items will be available for bid September 1st - September 29th.

Proceeds from the sale and silent auction will benefit library services and programs. For more information, visit www.pwpl.info or call 228-9510.

BLOOD DRIVE

Event Dates and Times

9/6/2017 - Starts: 11:00 AM - Ends: 3:00 PM
ESCANABA, RIVERSIDE FORD, 2625 LUDINGTON STREET
The Upper Peninsula Regional Blood Center bloodmobile will be at Riverside Ford, located at 2625
Ludington Street on Wednesday September 6th from 11a.m. until 3:00p.m. Sponsored by
Riverside, the blood drive is important event in the constant struggle to meet high demands. All
blood donations help needy patients somewhere, however donating at the U.P. Regional Blood
Center assures that our U.P. patients needs are met, as all blood collected remains in the U.P.
There is a critical need for A neg., B neg., and O neg. with A positive, B positive and O positive
below optimum levels. 1 out of 3 people will need blood in their lifetime. At some point we will
all know a friend, neighbor, family member or co-worker who needs a blood transfusion.
To donate, please eat within 2 hours of donating, be well hydrated and bring your driver's license.
The best things in life are free and donating blood is one of them. I urge everyone to come out in
large numbers to donate blood and encourage others to donate too. Riverside associates will be
volunteering at the drive, signing donors in, taking vitals sign and supplying food for donors.
