CineArts Films, a series devoted to foreign and independent films, presents the 2015 film Child 44 on Friday, January 12 at 6:00 pm in the Peter White Public Library’s Community Room. This is a BYO dinner event.

After a friend’s son is found dead, a secret-police officer decides to investigate a series of child murders in Stalin-era Soviet Union where supposedly child murderers and serial killers don’t exist. The police officer gets demoted and exiled and, with the help of his wife, convinces his new boss that a serial killer is on the loose. This mystery thriller is rated R and runs for 2 hours 17 minutes.

This film will be introduced by Dr. Nell Kupper, Professor, French and Russian, NMU Department of Languages, Literatures, and International Studies.
