Join Northern Vegans for a vegan potluck dinner and the showing of the movie Eating You Alive at 6PM on Monday, January 8th, in the Shiras Room on the second floor of the Peter White Public Library at 217 N. Front St in Marquette. Please bring a vegan dish (no meat, dairy, or honey) to share. We'll eat at 6PM and begin the movie at 6:30. All are welcome, no RSVP required. DocuMonday--Girl Rising

DocuMonday presents a screening of the 2013 documentary Girl Rising on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 7:00 pm in the Peter White Public Library Community Room as part of its Building Love: Imagine series of events.

This 2013 documentary follows the lives of nine girls from the countries of Haiti, Nepal, Ethiopia, India, Egypt, Peru, Cambodia, Sierra Leone, and Afghanistan. Facing challenges such as arranged marriages, child slavery, and poverty, each one is able to better her life through getting an education. Rated PG-13, it runs for 1 hour 41 minutes.
