“On May 24, 2018 Pathways Community Mental Health will present the second annual Marquette County “Walk a Mile in My Shoes” rally designed to increase awareness of the stigma associated with requesting help with mental illness and intellectual and developmental disabilities. The event will be held at the Marquette Commons at 112 S. Third St. in Marquette, MI from 1:00 – 4:00.

Registration will take place between 1:00 and 1:30 p.m. The event will feature live entertainment, informational booths, community speakers and healthy snacks. The one-mile walk along the bike path heading west from the Marquette Commons will begin at 1:30 p.m.

Creating a community where individuals feel safe and free to seek help to manage mental illness, intellectual and developmental disabilities is important. Pathways is helping to stamp out stigma one step at a time!”
