MARQUETTE -- A decision about the contract proposal for the professors at Northern Michigan University is expected by next week.

According to AAUP President Ron Sundell, a meeting is scheduled for Thursday, so that professors may ask questions or make comments about the contract.

Next Wednesday, November 4, is the tentative date for the ratification vote.

Results from the vote should be released that evening.
