Regena Robinson News Director

Regena is a proud Michigander! She began her career at WDIV-TV in Detroit as a producer and field reporter. Regena has held positions as reporter, anchor and producer over the course of 13 years in Washington, D.C. covering stories which include the 911 Terrorist Attacks, the 2004 & 2008 Presidential elections, interviewing notables, celebrities and unsung heroes. Her broadcast journalism career in the Nation’s Capital includes C-SPAN, Dateline, Nightline, Channel 16, the Kojo Nnamdi Show.
Regena has a B.A. in Communications from the University of Michigan and a M.A. in Journalism & Public Affairs from American University.
As News Director, Regena spearheaded a multimedia approach to covering news through three emerging platforms-broadcast, interactive and social media. She motivates her team to be active in the community and discover the untapped stories in the U.P.
She enjoys reading, giving motivational talks and spending time with her family which includes her husband and three active pets! She mentors youth and is the co-founder of the not-for profit, The World Poetry Agency. Regena is thrilled to lead a dynamic news team in the beautiful and close-knit Upper Peninsula.
