Beth comes to the U. P. from rural northern Illinois. She grew up on a family farm and is the youngest of three girls. Beth graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana in 2007 and earned her BA degree in Broadcast Journalism. While at the U of I she reported for the college radio station WPGU and also worked for Illini Productions, a production company within the U of I athletic department. During the summer of 2006, she had the opportunity to Intern at MSNBC in Secaucus, New Jersey as a production assistant.
Beth enjoys both watching and playing sports. She is an avid softball player in the summer and loves to snow ski in the winter. Beth believes there is nothing better than staying in on a cool Sunday afternoon and watching football. She is a fan of the Chicago Cubs, Da Bears, Da Bulls and the Fighting Illini.
