Mike has been at TV6 for over 20 years, the first three or so in the news department, and the last 17 in sports. Mike feels there's nothing like covering U.P. sports because every time you go below the Mackinac Bridge, you're automatically the underdog in the eyes of most Lower Peninsula folks. That makes winning state titles even better, Mike says. Mike graduated from Grand Ledge HS in 1981 and from Michigan State in 1985 with a B.A. in Telecommunication. His wife, Julie, is a Negaunee and NMU grad. She's a nurse in Marquette. They have two sons; Steven, who is 15 and Eric, 13. Both attend Negaunee Schools. Both boys are heavily involved in football, basketball, tennis and baseball.
