Andrew LaCombe joined the TV6 news team as a reporter, producer, and morning newsroom anchor in May 2012.
He grew up in Marquette and graduated from Marquette Senior High School. Andrew attended Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin and holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Cello Performance with a minor in Government.
Andrew was a dedicated member of 8-18 Media, a youth journalism program at the U.P. Children’s Museum in Marquette. Andrew’s time as a reporter and editor with 8-18 included many unique experiences, such as covering the 2004 and 2008 national political conventions.
While in college, Andrew interned at WGBA, the NBC affiliate in Green Bay. Andrew worked on stories ranging from the Wisconsin Gubernatorial recall race and the Green Bay Packers.
Music is still a big part of Andrew’s life, and he remains an active performer and private teacher. Andrew is a member of the Marquette Symphony Orchestra and Eclettico Chamber Orchestra. The outdoors is also an important place for Andrew, as he spent several great years as a camper and counselor at the Iron County Youth Camp in Crystal Falls. Andrew also enjoys running, being with family and friends, and cheering on the Packers, Tigers, and Wolverines.
He is thrilled to be a part of the Upper Peninsula community and is excited to share the national and world news with you every morning.
